SMS Policy

Effective Date: October 29, 2026

Advocate Auto Body (“Advocate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) takes customer privacy, transparency, and messaging compliance seriously. This Messaging Compliance Policy explains how we use SMS (text messaging) to communicate with customers and how we work to comply with applicable U.S. messaging laws, mobile carrier requirements, and messaging provider policies, including Twilio’s A2P 10DLC program, where applicable.

1. Purpose of Messaging

Advocate Auto Body may use SMS messaging to:

  • Confirm appointment requests and scheduled appointments.

  • Provide updates about collision repairs, repair progress, and vehicle readiness.

  • Respond to customer inquiries.

  • Communicate about estimates and vehicle damage, including responding to photo submissions when requested.

  • Coordinate repair-related matters, including insurance claim communications, when appropriate.

  • Send promotional offers only when the customer has provided the required consent.

We do not send unsolicited promotional text messages. Marketing messages require the appropriate prior consent, separate from consent to receive transactional or service-related messages where required.

2. Opt-In Policy

Customers must provide appropriate consent before receiving SMS messages for the applicable purpose. Consent may be collected through methods such as:

  • Submitting a website form that clearly identifies the purpose of SMS communications and includes the required consent disclosure.

  • Selecting an SMS consent checkbox during online scheduling or another customer interaction.

  • Providing documented verbal consent where permitted and appropriately recorded.

  • Initiating a text conversation with Advocate Auto Body, which permits us to respond to that inquiry but does not automatically authorize unrelated promotional messages.

Where required, marketing consent is obtained separately from consent to receive service-related messages. Consent is not a condition of purchasing services.

We maintain records of consent in accordance with applicable requirements and our messaging provider’s policies.

3. Opt-Out and Help Requests

Customers may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. Other recognized opt-out keywords may also be supported by our messaging provider.

After an opt-out request is received, we will honor the request promptly and stop the applicable messages, except for any limited communications permitted or required by law or necessary to confirm the opt-out.

Customers may reply HELP for assistance or contact Advocate Auto Body using the information below.

Customers who wish to receive messages again must provide new consent where required.

4. Message Frequency and Rates

Message frequency varies depending on the customer’s inquiry, appointment, repair status, and communication preferences.

Customers may receive multiple messages during the estimate and repair process when needed to respond to inquiries, coordinate services, or provide updates. Promotional message frequency, if applicable, will be disclosed during the opt-in process.

Message and data rates may apply depending on the customer's mobile carrier and wireless plan.

5. Data Privacy

Advocate Auto Body does not sell customers’ mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share information with service providers that support our messaging systems and business operations, subject to applicable requirements. We may also disclose information when necessary to provide requested services, coordinate repairs, comply with law, or protect our rights.

SMS consent and opt-in records are handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements and messaging provider policies. Mobile information and SMS consent data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
